How thick can you get stainless steel?
Stainless steel sheet metal can be quite thin, but for it to qualify as “sheet metal” it only reaches a ¼ inch in thickness

What is the difference between 321 and 304 stainless steel?
321 stainless steel is basically from 304 stainless steel. They different by a very very small addition of Titanium. The

What material is 1. 4306?
austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel
Material No. 1.4306 / AISI 304 L is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel with a low carbon content. 1.4306 is
essentially a more highly alloyed version of 1.4307. Due to the slightly higher chromium and notably higher nickel
content, 1.4306 is more corrosion resistant than 1.4307.
What does 1.4301 mean?
Stainless steel 304 and stainless steel 304L are also known as 1.4301 and 1.4307 respectively. Type 304 is the
most versatile and widely used stainless steel. It is still sometimes referred to by its old name 18/8 which is derived
from the nominal composition of type 304 being 18% chromium and 8% nickel.
