What is hairline polish?
A Long Grain finish, also commonly referred to as a “Hairline” finish is considered a #6 Satin that receives additional
polishing in order to give the appearance that the grain runs continuously for the entire length of the product.
What does AISI stand for in stainless steel?
AISI stands for American Iron and Steel Institute. Therefore, both grade 304 stainless steel and grade 316 conform
to the American standard. The European equivalents are 1.4301 and 1.4401, respectively.
Is food grade 430 stainless steel safe?
Stainless steel 430 is also a food grade stainless steel, though it contains only 16 to 18 percent chromium and is
better used in applications where demand for corrosion resistance is only moderately high.
